Contact/About Us
       Shedhorn Labradors is owned by Tryg and Lauren Koch of Kalispell, MT.  Lauren bought her
first chocolate lab in 2000(Shelby).  Although obedience training had always been a great enjoyment
in Lauren's life, when she was introduced to hunt tests, she was hooked!  
        She now runs a small dog breeding operation, breeding only quality, proven, genetically disease
free chocolate hunting Labs.  Lauren also takes on a limited number of dogs for
obedience/hunting/shedhorn hunting training.  Working for LaSalle Veterinary clinic in Kalispell,
Montana has also given her a sound background in animal care.  
       Tryg is a professional elk, deer, antelope, and snow goose guide, he also owns a  custom
farming business in the Flathead Valley.  In the off season, Lauren and Tryg enjoy hunting, fishing
and riding horses.  The name Shedhorn Labradors comes from Lauren's "minor" addiction to hunting
deer and elk sheds, with the goal in mind of training and breeding hunting/shedhorn
hunting/competition Labradors as a sole profession.
The infamous Nellie aka Tryg's snow goose dog!  Nellie is a mix breed,
part Akita/Great Dane/Shetland Sheep Dog/Boxer. (We sent in her DNA
to find out what she consisted of).  She was the toughest dog Lauren
has trained, but she has turned out to be a snow goose extrordinaire.
